An hour after a Lufkin man was released from jail he wound up dead.

Oklahoma legislators are working to strengthen gun rights and self-defense in the Sooner State in 2023. Several new bills and some existing bills yet to be heard will be introduced during the legislative session.

Oklahoma and just about everywhere else are voicing opinions about this self-defense shooting that took place in Houston, TX. It's a crazy and unusual case and right now it's looking like the armed defender will be heading to court.

A woman in Charleston, West Virginia is being hailed a hero after she stopped a mass shooting. She was lawfully carrying a firearm and when a gunman appeared and began shooting into a crowd she shot and killed him saving the lives of all those who were present. The only injury or fatality reported was the gunman.

More firearm legislation is headed to the Oklahoma House for a vote. House Bill (HB-3069) would grant municipalities the authority to allow city employees to carry concealed firearms while at work or on duty. The bill would amend various prohibited locations and properties that are currently restricted such as properties, buildings, structures, and office space that is owned by the city which does business with the public.

As you can imagine the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict is creating a lot of heated debate and serious arguments on Facebook, Twitter, and just about everywhere else, including the water cooler and break room.

Last Monday (06-21-21) in Arvada, Colorado a tragedy took place. There was a murder, more like execution, of a police officer by a complete psycho hell bent on murdering as many cops as he could, along with anyone else who happened to be in the area. The shooting took place in Olde Town, Arvada at a shopping center.

Yesterday (05-12-21) the Texas House rejected changes made by the Senate to the "Constitutional Carry" (House Bill 1927) which has stalled the bill from reaching Governor Greg Abbott's desk. There's been a lot of concern and confusion about (HB-1927) and as you can imagine anti-gun groups are up in arms, pun intended, about the new legislation. The bill is now in a special conference committee that is made up of members of both the House and Senate. They will meet and further discuss it, trying to reach a compromise to get approval in both chambers to advance the bill to the Governor.
