Governor Stitt Declares Statewide Winter Weather State of Emergency
Governor Stitt just declared a Winter weather state of emergency for all 77 Oklahoma counties. He just signed the executive orders this afternoon and it will be in effect statewide until weather conditions improve. Oklahoma is expected to get extremely cold temperatures, snow, ice and all kinds of frozen precipitation over the next few days. At his time we're looking at a 80% chance of snow on Sunday, there's a 50% chance on Tuesday and 40% chance of snow on Wednesday. Temperatures will be well below freezing and even below zero for parts of the weekend and going into next week.

Well once again Mother Nature is being moody, more like PMSing. Over the next 3 or 4 days we're going to see and feel some of the coldest temperatures we've seen all winter long. We're talking in the teens and with the wind chill, negative below zero temperatures. Looking ahead to the weekend and into Monday it's going to be around 18-10 degrees with lows from 3 to -2 outside. We're talking extreme cold!

Southwest Oklahoma had an unpredictable cold season last year. It was blisteringly cold through November, then downright hot around Thanksgiving. Then came the cold freezing rains and wet heavy snows in December and January. February was also cold, but it all gave way to a brilliant and incredibly wet Spring and Summer.
