As speculated the other day, things are about to get a whole lot chillier for Metallica. The band is heading to Antarctica for a concert on the cold continent in December. And here's the best part: They'll be playing without amps!

Remember your first concert? You were probably somewhere in the nosebleed seats, trying to pick out the supertiny bassist from the supertiny rhythm guitarist onstage while hollowed-out versions of the band's most popular songs echoed throughout the arena's crappy audio system.
