Every year our Christmas would be just like any one else's.  Dad would always make his trek to the attic to gather the Christmas decorations.  Oh what a fun time this was.    Christmas carols would be playing from the old record console as 8 to 10 LP's were stacked on top of each other to play.  Then the big "evening" rolled around.  We would all get in to the Chevy Biscayne to go down to the tree lot.  After what seemed like hours (It was only minutes), dad would get the biggest most beautiful tree and we would head home to decorate.  He was in charge of the lights.  Mom the Ornaments, my brother the garland and my sister and the tinsel Sure the  tinsel usually wound up in a clump but it was beautiful none the less.   Now I am sharing the same traditions with my 4 kids.
