The stage is set for Super Bowl XLV.  The game is going to be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on February 6 at 5:30 p.m.

The two storied teams include the Green Bay Packers wearing the green and gold and commonly called the "pack" will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers who will wear the black and gold into the game.

Packers are no stranger to the big game.  They won the first modern Super Bowl in 1966.  They won again in 1967 and it was not until 1996 that the Packers took the crown.

Steelers on the other side have six Super Bowl rings to show and are looking for number 7.  Their first championship came in 1974 then again in 1975.   Back to back wins in 1978 and 1979 set them as a dynasty.   They won again in 2006 and most recently in 2008.

Both teams have a rich heritage of the NFL and a following of fans that  goes deep into the "blue collar" workers of both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.    Regardless of who wins this game, it will be one for the ages.  One you will tell your grand kids about.

I will be taking my son Kaleb to the big event.  Why do I call it the big event?   Well "game" does not show just how big this is.  There is going to be every kind of activity that two boys can get into.  Yeah.  I called my self a boy.  I don't know who is more excited, Kaleb or me.

There will be photos posted after the event.  Looking forward to sharing with you what we experience.
