The 2016 MTV Movie Awards will air next month from Los Angeles' Warner Brothers Studios, but its slew of Star Wars nominees might have you convinced the celebration's 25th broadcast is set in a galaxy far, far away.

This morning (February 8), the network unveiled its new nominees via Snapchat, and The Force Awakens took a commanding lead over the competition with 11 nominations, including nods for Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Adam Driver in a handful of categories. The Ryan Reynolds-fronted Deadpool came in a close second with eight nominations, and the final Hunger Games installment got some love among the award show's action categories.

The 2016 show will introduce two new categories: Best Documentary, which has nominated the likes of Amy and He Named Me Malala, among others; and True Story, which includes films like Joy, Concussion and Straight Outta Compton.

Voting is now open here, and fans can make their picks until March 20. Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who are both up for coveted golden popcorn trophies themselves, will host.

Check out the full list of nominees below, and tune in to the show on April 10 at 8 PM EST on MTV!
