The Museum of the Great Plains along with the City of Lawton Animal Welfare Division is hosting its 6th Annual "Poochez Palooza Festival", a friendly dog festival to be held this Saturday, October 11th from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., on the museum grounds at 601 NW Ferris Avenue.

All are welcome to this all-inclusive dog festival. It doesn't matter if you are an adopted stray or a champion at Westminster, as long as you are a friendly dog you are welcome, no breeding papers required -- you can't help who your parents are! This year's event hosts our traditional "60's" or a Halloween costume theme. Contests will be held throughout the day. Come out and strike a pose for the pup-parazzi. This festival is for you!

In attendance will be local businesses that will be setting up booths to promote their establishments and products. Local veterinarians will be on hand to conduct working clinic booths offering vaccinations, micro-chipping and general pet care education.

This is a family oriented event which gives dog owners the opportunity to get out with their pet to socialize, become familiar with area veterinarians, local businesses, and the services and products offered to the pet owning community.

There will be door prizes!
