As they announced earlier this year, the All American Rejects have been popping up all across the nation performing at various houses and private venues. On Monday, July 14, their next stop brought them to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they performed at WOMPA.

To some, one of the most exhilirating aspects of their tour is the element of surprise. The owner of WOMPA wasn't aware that they would have a historic concert at their venue when they woke up that morning. And only 750 people who previously subscribed to the contest via Tik Tok were selected and notified to attend the show.

We reached out to some of the fans who spoke about their experiences at the concert. Although they might've have different seats in the house, they all had one thing to say: it truly was unforgettable.

The element of surprise.

The All American Rejects spent the day promoting their partnership with Slim Chickens on Monday, while fans waited on the edge of their seats to find out when and where the show would be at that evening.

Meanwhile, the venue they ended up performing at was wrapping up their regular work-day when vendors found out the band was coming. One of the vendors at WOMPA, Charlotte Mason, confirmed that "we had no idea until 5 p.m."

While they set everything up for the band's performance, fans were waiting impatiently. Many of which never imagined that they would have the luck to be selected for the concert, like Ashley Chapman.

"I had just created a TikTok account last month and the video I created to win the ticket was my first ever TikTok video to post."

Another fan, Myranda Decker, expressed that she definitely didn't expect the text, but she didn't let any circumstances stop her from attending.

"Even though I’m 8 months pregnant, it did not stop me from going out and supporting the all American rejects it’s definitely a memory I will have forever and I’ll never forget."

When the announcement went out, fans made their way to WOMPA within a matter of hours. When the venue filled up, it didn't stop more fans from lining the streets, even standing on top of their vehicles, to see the show.

Unforgettable moments from the All American Rejects 'House Party' in Tulsa.

To say that the concert was exciting would be a major understatement based off of some of the reactions the fans had. Chapman told us "The vibe from the concert was so electric." Another fan, Alli Shoptese, was able to see the band closer than most fans, had nothing but great things to say about her experience.

"It was so nice to see a band I grew up listening to come back to their roots— their concert style & of course their home state," she said.

Shoptese also applauded the band and the venue for being ready to keep everyone safe, including when "two people passed out and another had a seizure." Medics were on sight and ready to spring into action, water stations were available "in every corner" and, overall, she said that it was a "fun & safe environment for everyone."

Many of the fans shared their experience with us via social media. Check out their photos and screenshots from videos they took from the iconic event.
