Oklahoma native film director Brent Ryan Green is set to begin working on his first feature-length film in Oklahoma City titled The Veil.

According to the Oklahoma Film and Music Office, the film is written by producer and partner Jeff Goldberg. The film will be produced by Green and Goldberg's production company Toy Gun Films.

Set in a war-torn land where tribal factions live in fear of annihilation, a warrior struggles to free himself from the evils of the lifestyle he has known in order to join a princess from a foreign tribe to create a new world.

Principal photography is scheduled to begin later in the month, which will feature many of Oklahoma's state parks and natural areas.

“I am elated for my feature film directorial debut, and to be able to do it in my home state is deeply gratifying,” said Green. “With all of the diverse and stunning locations, I plan for the imagery of this film to be a love letter to the state. We are very fortunate to be a part of the rebate program, which makes filming in Oklahoma very desirable.”

Green and Goldberg  have produced four short films and have won over 33 awards and have held screenings in 70 festivals.

Their most recent film, Running Deer, was filmed in Oklahoma in October 2012. The film follows a Native American Runner played by Booboo Stewart, who is most recognized by his portrayal of Seth Clearwater in 'The Twilight Saga.'

The Veil will utilize the the Oklahoma Film Rebate Enhancement, which is administrated by the Oklahoma Film and Music Office.
