This Will Be One Of The Next Big Artists From Oklahoma

After catching a glimpse of her most recent original, I just had to tell you guys about this artist who I'm positive will be one of the next best talents from Oklahoma. This year especially was a bit of a sad one for Oklahoma's music industry, but I've got a few reasons to believe that we've got a lot to look forward to in the new year.

2024 Oklahoma Music Recap

This year was full of some really iconic moments, with the release of the "Twisters" movie that also put many incredible Red Dirt and Country Oklahoma artists on the map around the world. Oklahoma has also gained some global attention in the hard rock world thanks to bands like Chat Pile. And, according to freepressokc.com, Jason Scott and the High Heat is just one of the artists who've been consistently producing music and shows in 2024 to really show off how good Oklahomans are.

While artists in Oklahoma are continuing to grow, many live music venues have actually closed this year. Heartbreakingly, Oklahoma lost one of the longest running live music venues in Weatherford, Oklahoma - JC Cowboys. Since the start of the pandemic, the amount of live music venues staying open and continuing the entertainment in this state has slowly been dwindling.

Even if our artists are doing well on social media and working their craft, they're having to travel out of state have a place to perform. Hopefully in 2025, we will see more venues and stages to get our artists on.

Oklahoma Artists To Look Out For In 2025

Speaking of incredible artists from Oklahoma, there are a few that you should absolutely keep your eyes peeled for in 2025.

Kaitlyn Kilian Music - Good old school country that wraps you both in nostalgia and in irreverance of a new experience. New music on the way for 2025, according to Kaitlyn. "I've been in the studio and we are working the music now to release for 2025," she told us. "I released an EP this last year and I'm so exited to get this new music out. It has more of the 90s old school vibe to it."

Gannon Freemin & CCREV - Some of the hardest rockin' country you'll see on any stage, these guys are touring everywhere and constantly releasing new music, like their most recent song "With or Without Me."

Gage Wilkerson and The Young Guns - An up and coming group from southwest Oklahoma full of a new generation of red dirt and country players and artists. Matt Moran & The Palominos - Touring and music content with incredibly well written country music, with his trending original song "Dry County."
