Billie Lourd Remembers Mom Carrie Fisher on One Year Anniversary of Her Death
It's been on year since the death of Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher. Her daughter, Billie Lourd, mourned the anniversary with a touching tribute on social media.
On Instagram, Lourd revealed that she took a trip to Norway with her father, Bryan Lourd, to see the northern lights as a tribute to Fisher.
The Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress, who appeared in the franchise's latest installment alongside her late mother, also shared that Fisher had an unusual fascination with the ethereal light phenomenon.
"My momby had an otherworldly obsession with the northern lights, but I never got to see them with her," Lourd wrote in the caption of a photo of the famous lights.
"We journeyed to northern Norway to see if we might ‘see the heavens lift up her dark skirts and flash her dazzling privates across [our] unworthy irises,'" Lourd continued. "And she did. I love you times infinity."
Fisher passed away on December 27, 2016 after experiencing cardiac arrest. She was 60 years old.
Fisher's mother and Lourd's grandmother, actress Debbie Reynolds, died of a stroke the following day (December 28).
