Duncan will be full of Levis, boots and belt buckles this weekend, as it welcomes the 27th annual Chisholm Trail Stampede, PRCA Rodeo to town. The rodeo kicked off last night with a reception for the sponsors of the event. PCRA events including calf roping, steer wrestling and bull riding will get under way tonight at 7:30 at the Stephens County Expo Center in Duncan, with over 270 cowboys and cowgirls set for competition.

Advance tickets are just $10 and are available from any of the Rodeo Queen candidates, and at Crutchers, Stockman's and Butterfield's in Duncan, Mitchell and Mitchell in Marlow and Comanche Seed and Grain in Comanche. Tickets are $12 at the gate. Kids 12 and under get in for $5, and on Friday night, kids accompanied by a paying adult get in free. Military personnel get in for half price either night.

The Queen crowning will be Saturday night, and special guest John Payne aka the "One Arm Bandit" will be performing both nights.
