Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato will perform at the Billboard Music Awards this month.

The two vocal divas will perform their new collaboration, "Fall in Line," off Aguilera's forthcoming album, Liberation, PEOPLE confirmed Tuesday (May 8).

Lovato recently spoke about being enlisted for Aguilera's new album—her first in six years—during an interview for Aguilera's Billboard cover story.

"I have always looked up to Christina. I remember being at her concert and singing facing the crowd instead of the stage, knowing that that was exactly what I wanted to do in life," she said.

"She speaks up for what she believes in and sends a positive message, which are two things I find extremely important when given the platform we are lucky enough to have," Lovato added.

Rumors of a collaboration between the two pop stars started in 2017, when Lovato told Billboard in a separate interview that she "did a collaboration with one of [her] biggest idols."

"I can’t give away who it is yet, but you’ll find out soon. I can’t wait for the world to hear it. It’s an incredible song," she teased.

Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the Billboard Music Awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
