Dad Turns In Bank Robbing Daughter [POLL]
Imagine you are on the internet looking at pictures of the most wanted criminals in the state you live in, when you spot a very familiar face. That is exactly what happened to a Massachusetts man late last week when he spotted a picture of his daughter.
Edward Cunniff was surfing the Internet last week when he stumbled across the website MassMostedWanted, which features pictures of Massachusetts most wanted criminals. When looking at a picture of a wanted bank robber, Cunniff realizes the picture is his daughter Merredith Cunniff.
37-year-old Merredith Cunniff was wanted in the robbery of the Colonial Federal Savings Bank in Quincy, MA on July 16 where she got away with $6,000; the Sovereign Bank in Marshfield, MA on July 19 and the Mount Washington Bank in South Boston on July 12 where she got away with $1,500 each time.
According to the FBI, 93 percent of all bank crimes committed in the U.S. in 2011 were committed by men. Which makes Merredith Cunniff's bank robberies a rarity. In case you are wondering what Cunniff used to rob these banks, that would be nothing. In each of her three robberies she was unarmed, which is even more rare.
