Dead People's Stuff in Oklahoma City Helps Twisters Movie Set

A ton of folks lately have been asking how to find the garage sales around busy areas. To make things simpler, there's actually a place in Oklahoma City that did the hunting for you, all you have to do is see what they brought back. Spooky season lovers with appreciate the name: Dead People's Stuff.

What Is Dead People's Stuff?

Most people look for collectibles, kitchenware, furniture and other common things when they visit the estate sales. But the truly unique relics are hard to come by - that is at the actual estate sale. Dead people's stuff looks specifically for the things that stand out and tell a story.

From rustic doors, vintage appliances, to what one Tik Tok user described as "a rug the size of the Titanic," there's really no telling what's in this place.

Dead People's Stuff in Twisters

If you've watched the new Twisters movie, you can thank this shop for some of the props used while on set. While filming the movie, the cast and crew were reportedly "in and out [of] Dead People’s Stuff," purchasing "architectural antiques for the movie sets," according to the owners.

The owners said they are on the lookout for what made the bigscreen, but they know for sure that the set design team for Twisters bought things like lights, hardware and a few furniture.

When the design team mentioned they were also looking for items during a tornado scene, the owner asked if these items were going to be torn apart. "Luckily, they said no," she mentioned in an instagram comment.

What's With The Name?

Dead People's Stuff is known for their effort to preserve history. They travel both in and out of Oklahoma to find the best architectural pieces that have a story.
