Discover Oklahoma’s Unsurpassed Hidden Speakeasy Bars
The term "speakeasy" came from the Prohibition days, when bars were hidden from the public. When those who knew of them were making plans to make a visit, they would have to "speak easy" or quietly about the bar. Nowadays, you can still find different speakeasies everywhere - many of which are hidden in plain sight.
The Hamilton - Oklahoma City
Tucked away in the Northpark mall in Oklahoma City, it seems like a one stop shop. You'll never know until you enter that this superette and lounge has unique, eclectic pieces, an incredible light display, a fireplace and fantastic food. The speakeasy is farther back in the lounge and well worth the discovery.
Yours Truly - Oklahoma City
This is one of the newest speakeasies that was opened last year and has been a hit since its opening. For those who want an excuse to truly get "dolled up" and go out on the town, you can enjoy three bars in one venue. Visitors can easily enjoy the 2 layers of bars, 1950s decor and VIP areas - finding the hidden bar within the venue is an experience all its own.
Boston Title and Abstract - Tulsa
This hidden underground lounge is in downtown Tulsa. Enjoy the traditional speakeasy atmosphere with classic decor and dimly lit, intimate seating areas. Those wanting a little adventure for their first or second date would enjoy searching for this speakeasy. If you happen to find this bar, visitors are welcome for drinks. However, if you'd like to plan a dinner date, reservations will need to be made ahead of time by calling the venue.
