Weird Dome Home Up for Auction in Oklahoma
At the start of July 2024, a uniquely dome-shaped home is coming up for auction in Hydro, Oklahoma.
The home also includes a 2 car garage, a 40' by 60' shop with full concrete floor and a 12' lean to. It is three stories with an upstairs and a basement, sitting on around 1.26 acres of property.
Dome homes may be a better idea when living in tornado alley, as in past experiences, some dome homes have survived better than traditionally built homes. They've also been known to be more efficient when it comes to keeping the place cool or hot throughout.
According to 2-10 Home Warranty, "Geodesic domes promote more efficient air circulation and keep temperatures even throughout the structure."
The seller, Chris Stump, must've been a vintage enthusiast. The auction will also be bidding off numerous collectible items like cabbage patch dolls, vintage cameras and even an automatic Rat Rod, 7.4L (454), that runs with a customized motor.
Some of the best finds for classic collectors happen at auctions like these and it sounds like some bidders may walk away with quite a find. Items like the Model Hallmark Kiddie Car Classics "1941 Junior Service Truck", Shell Motor Oil Truck *In Box, 1917 Texico Maxwell Touring Car are on the list for auction.
There is also new and used furniture, appliances, tools and vintage decor available; although, some items were sold on the "online only" auction on the morning of June 25. The on-site auction is at 10:00a.m. on July 2nd, more details can be found here. If you want more selling information, its best to reach out ENTZ Auction and Realty directly.
