Vibrant Firework Shows Coming To Oklahoma In 2024
Check out these upcoming celebrations already preparing to light up the skies this Independence Day in Oklahoma. Keep in mind many of these celebrations will be heavily trafficked and surrounding roads will likely be closed or rerouted. Visitors should look ahead of time the best route for traveling and bring along lawn chairs, blankets and other items to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Folds of Honor - Tulsa, Oklahoma
Watch 6,978 firework shells light up the skies above the Arkansas River in Tulsa. Throughout Independence Day, you can also enjoy live music from bands like the Captain Ledge Band and the Midlife Crisis Band (to be determined). The festival will take place in both River West Festival Park and Dream Keepers Park (formerly Veterans Park). Activities for the kids, giveaways of ALL kinds and much more will happen all day and wrap up with the incredible fireworks display at 10:00 p.m.
LibertyFest Fireworks - Edmond, Oklahoma
This year marks the 52nd anniversary of Edmond's family-fun tradition. While they celebrate the hardest on Independence Day with their parade and enormous fireworks display, the entire festival begins as early as June 14 with the Ballet and the Band live music performances. There will be a 5k run, rodeo, car show, concert and patriotic radio show all the days in between. The fireworks display at E. C. Hafer Park will kick off July 4 at 9:30 p.m.
Yukon Freedom Fest - Yukon, Oklahoma
While many celebrations are only setting off their displays on Independence Day evening, Yukon is celebrating both July 3th and 4th, 10:00 p.m. both nights. If you tune into KJ103 on July 3 and 96.1 KXY on July 4, you can hear the music playing along with the fireworks. Before the display, visitors can enjoy, vendors, contests, food trucks, and activities for the entire family.
4th of July Celebration - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Frontier City in Oklahoma City is setting off a gorgeous display at the park this year. The fireworks display will be going off while rides and activities will still be going on, giving a whole new experience for thrillseekers.
Guthrie Independence Day Celebration - Guthrie, Oklahoma
Get a good spot to watch the display above the Jelsma Stadium by arriving early. While you're waiting, stop by the pop up shops and food trucks spending their evening with everyone for Red Brick Nights.
Claremore Independence Day - Claremore, Oklahoma
This event includes a day full of live music, a flag raising ceremony and a free Kids Fishing Derby. The derby comes with a complimentary kids fishing pole, tackle and bait, while supplies last. Kiddos can win prizes for catching the largest and smallest fish and drawings will be held for bikes and helmets throughout the morning.
Celebration in the Heartland - Moore, Oklahoma
It's one of the largest celebrations in Oklahoma, happening once again at Buck Park. Visit during the day and enjoy food trucks, vendors and more. Fireworks kick off around 9:45 p.m. and will be set off with the music playing on 89.9fm. The best part: the show is completely free!
Grand Lakes Firework Shows
The entire Independence day weekend will be filled with firework shows in various towns in the farthest corner in the northeast part of Oklahoma. Also known as the Grand Lake O' the Cherokees, visitors will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the Ozark Mountain range as the perfect background for 10 different firework displays.
