One way to for sure get away from other people and things is to travel somewhere hard to travel at all. According to Hiker and Blogger, Emma, who hiked this trail in 2017, she noted that this trail was perfect for views and peace.
However, it isn't the easiest to climb and includes a lot of bouldering, so its best to leave the kids and pets at home. But if you're wanting a view worthwhile and peace even better, the New Horizon Trail makes the list.
Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge - Post Oak Falls

This little hidden gem is in the eastern part of the Wichita Mountains and is a beautiful cool spot to escape the heat and enjoy the peace and quiet of Oklahoma's wildlife. It is even far enough away from the Fort Sill military base that you rarely hear the booms of their practice rounds.
Even if you do hear some artillery, you have a waterfall right there to drown the sound out. And with all of the rain recently, there's no doubt the waterfall is definitely doing what it does best.
Beavers Bend State Park - Find the Water
According to the majority of reviews for the most popular state park in Oklahoma, Beavers Bend has the peace and quiet pretty easy for everyone to get to. That being said, you may have to do some walking to get away from others, but really all you have to do is follow the water.
Heavener Runestone Park - Nature Trail to Waterfall
@oklahoma77.com I am less interested in the facts and more interested in the rumor and speculation. #heavneroklahoma #exploreoklahoma #runestonepark #heavnerrunestones #ancientaliens ♬ If I Had a Heart ("Vikings" Intro Song) - Vikings Main Title
This park used to be a state park, but now is maintained by a local organization. That being said, it is still free to visit (although donations are appreciated). Here, you'll find the perfect place to clear your mind and to pique your curiousity. With markings along the stones, it's known as one of the most unique places in the state for a reason.
When you get addicted to visiting, just know we told you so.
