Shawnee’s Haunted Corn Maze Open Now For Fall
There are two kinds of Halloween experience you can have: a cute one or a scary one. If you're looking for a scary one in Oklahoma, you're just in luck. Out of all of the pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hay mazes, there's one that offers a true blood-pumping walk-through in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Sunshine Shelly's Nightmare Harvest in Shawnee, Oklahoma
Sunshine Shelly's Nightmare Harvest happens at the corn maze at 7110 N Harrison, Shawnee, OK. After a season of allowing the corn as high as it possibly can, the staff get to work knocking down stalks and making the paths for visitors.
Rather than walking through the maze through the day, though, they're really preparing for the thrill seekers coming to get a scare after dark.
It All Happens After Dark
Every Friday and Saturday in October this year, folks can get their tickets starting at 7:00p.m. and get a chance to make it out of the maze while being "stalked," scared and spooked.
Tickets are regularly $15 at the gate, fast passes are $30. Those older than 18 can also get a Touch Pass that allows actors to grab, touch, or even separate you from your group. Speaking of ages, the haunted maze is highly recommended for folks 13 and up, but they will allow 12 and under with an accompanying adult.
Tips For Your Visit to the Haunted Maze
A few important tips for your visit are, according to Sunshine Shelly's Nightmare Harvest:
- Fridays have shorter wait times than Saturdays
- This year is the longest trail they've ever had
Make sure you're prepared for a true haunted house-like experience with clowns, chainsaws and all the scariest things that make the experience unforgettable. Check their social media for updates on closings, weather changes or anything that may affect open hours.
If you're looking for a less scary, more adorable fall experience, check out Sunshine Shelly's Pumpkin Patch, right there on the same land (but ran seperately).
