It's that time of year again, Fall is finally here and Halloween is just around the corner. If you're looking for something to do with the family why not hit the pumpkin patches and corn mazes for some Fall fun. Oklahoma has several corn mazes and pumpkin patches and a lot of them are close to Lawton, Fort Sill.

You could load up the car and hit the road for a quick getaway or stay-cation. Most of the corn mazes and pumpkins patches listed below are open for the season or will be open this weekend on Saturday (10-02-21). Not only corn mazes, but most of them also have all kinds of other cool stuff to do and for all ages.

It's only a short hour and twenty minutes away from Lawton, Fort Sill in Hydro, OK. The P Bar Farms Corn Maze has a little bit of everything. This one is really close by, just an hour from Lawton, Fort Sill. The Red River Pumpkin Patch in Davidson, OK. is a great place to find some Fall fun. Those are just a few of the corn mazes and pumpkin patches we have in Oklahoma. You could spend the entire month visiting each one. Luckily most of them are really close to Lawton, Fort Sill, and just an hour or two away. While I do enjoy all the haunted houses and attractions this time of year, it's nice to have things the whole family can be a part of.  The family and I are planning to take a short trip and check some of these out during Fall break. Any of them would make a great getaway or weekend stay-cation.

If you're into the haunted attractions and scream parks the Trail of Fear in Lawton is opening for the season this weekend. Their first day is this Friday (10-01-21). Trail of Fear is the biggest haunted attraction in Oklahoma and has been repeatedly voted the #1 haunted attraction in the entire state. We're lucky it's right here in our backyard. You can pre-order tickets to their haunted attractions: The Hackensaw Haunted Hayride and Camp Twisty. They also have escape rooms: Curse of the Black Swan and Cooper Groves Crypt. Not only haunted attractions and escape rooms, this year Trail of Fear will host Evil Dead the Musical!

Too many people spend too much time complaining about being in Southwest Oklahoma. If only they'd shut their mouths and open their eyes from time to time, then they'd see the true beauty of this place.
