Finally! Some Fall Fun For The Adults

One of my favorite memories as a teen was visiting the Kentucky Derby during Halloween weekend. I may have grown up, but I know I'm not the only one who enjoys horses even as an adult. This year, there are fall events even adults can enjoy at Oklahoma's tracks.

Where Can You See Horse Racing in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma has 3 main horse racing tracks:

Remington Park - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Namely the most popular race track in the state, it isn't uncommon to see some of the fastest horses in the country race on this dirt. In fact, just yesterday, Remington Park witnessed another iconic race for an undefeated horse named Most Wanted.

This year, Remington Park is hosting a Craft Classics Beer Festival on October 18, 2024 at Track Level North. It's also a night of some of the most high-stakes Thoroughbred racing in the entire state, the Oklahoma Classics. For more information, follow the link to their website.

Fair Meadows - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Right now, the largest of the two state fairs is happening - the Tulsa State Fair. That being said, the Fair Meadows track is usually only open during the spring time and they've already officially ended their race schedule for the year.

Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs - Claremore, Oklahoma

Located just 30 miles outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Will Rogers Downs track hosts a variety of races. This year, they'll be hosting meets for Thoroughbreds, Paint and Appaloosa horses. The Throughbred races are happening on the weekends, but if you want the full calendar, click here.

While watching the races, the folks at the track also have live music and of course games and casino jackpots to win.
