Lawton’s International Festival Calls For Talented Performers
The 46th annual International Festival in Lawton, Oklahoma is scheduled for September 2025. Despite it being so far away, committee members are asking for live music performers to begin applying now before the deadline on July 26, 2025. Performers that are selected will be notified no later than August 5 if they've got the gig.
The International Festival celebrates diversity and differences, so performers of all genres are welcome to apply. Although performers are being asked to perform on a volunteer basis, the opportunity to spread the love of culture and music to hundreds of people is unique to Lawton.
Performers don't have to perform just live music, either. Dancers, artists and others are able to participate in the festival, as well. If selected, the Lawton Arts and Humanities Division and the International Festival committee will assign performers to one of two large festival stages in Elmer Thomas Park.
Family-friendly music for a family-friendly festival.
It's important to bear in mind that no matter the genre, any and all performers must agree to perform only family-friendly content while on stage. This three-day event caters to children and families and committee members want to ensure the talent does the very same.
Volunteers needed for more than just performing during the International Festival.
They are also asking for volunteer vendors to join the celebration. Sign ups are running now until June 20. Vendors can sell, craft or bring anything to the table for the International Festival, but the committee wants to highlight diversity and culture if possible.
