Beautiful Easter Weekend in Oklahoma with Storms Returning Sunday
Oklahoma lucked out! It's going to be a BEAUTIFUL Easter weekend in the Sooner State. But it won't last long; spring storms will return Sunday evening.
It's been a banner spring weather week for Oklahoma. We had severe storms with hail and tornadoes to start off the week. And then winter returned bringing colder temperatures, hard freezes, snow and cold wind chills. But it looks like that beautiful spring weather we all know and love will be returning.
Temperatures will return to warm!
Temperatures are expected to gradually increase today, Thursday, March 28, back into the high 60s. As we get into good Friday, temperatures during the day will be the high 70s with the overnight lows in the 40s. Then as we move into Easter weekend, we'll see temperatures in the low 80s and high 70s on Saturday and Sunday. Perfect weather for Easter egg hunts!
When will the spring storms return?
Storms are expected to return to Oklahoma Sunday evening, hopefully after everyone has finished their Easter festivities. But it looks like the storms will linger into Monday as we're expected to have strong to severe storms to start off April.
