See Dazzling Images Of The Northern Lights In Oklahoma
A solar storm stuck Earth the evening of Oct. 10, which resulted in a multicolored cast of auroras visible as far as northern Oklahoma. Several Oklahomans were able to capture dazzling images of the Northern Lights beaming over the Sooner State and the results are mesmerizing.
Oklahoma is used to seeing beautiful hues of pinks, purples, oranges and yellows during a sunrise or a sunset, but they're not typical late at night. But on the evening of Oct. 10, Oklahomans could see bright bands of colors in the sky with sparkling stars. Sometimes, the Northern Lights can be hard to capture fully on camera in Oklahoma, but on Thursday night, several Oklahomans were able to get vibrant images of the Northern Lights over northern Oklahoma.
