The 15 Best Movie Posters of 2025

Obviously the best part of going to the movie theater is seeing something on a really big screen with good sound in a comfy chair surrounded by lots of people who are halfheartedly watching while they occasionally glance at TikTok on their phones. (Okay so the last part is not necessarily ideal.) But I love the entire ritual of theatergoing. The trailers. The hideous carpets that have somehow not been replaced since 1998 even if the theater is only five years old. And especially perusing the latest movie posters, which let you know what films are coming soon to a theater near you.

While Netflix and Prime Video and the rest of the streamers do make posters for some of their titles, I do worry that as movie theaters struggle movie posters may become an endangered species. So we ought to celebrate them while we still have them. With that in mind, here are my picks for the 15 best movie posters of 2025.

Note that these are the best posters of this year; the quality of the films they’re connected to has no bearing on this list. Heck, in a few cases, the movies these posters are connected to aren’t even out yet. For my purposes, that is irrelevant.

Films and their posters are two separate but intertwined arts. Is the poster visually striking? Does it raise awareness and interest in the film? Then it is a good poster, even if the film itself turns out to be worse than Slapstick of Another Kind.
