Yes, THAT Kevin Costner.  I can't tell you how many times I was asked that question in the last week.  Kevin Costner, actor, director and lead singer of the band Modern West kicked off the 'Tales From Yellowstone' tour last night at Heritage Hall in Ardmore Oklahoma.

A nearly half full auditorium enjoyed opening act Texas Hill, before the star of the supremely popular television show 'Yellowstone' took the stage with his band for nearly two hours. A note on Texas Hill:  Two of the three singers are reality singing competition finalists!  Casey James, who was actually here in Lawton for a Taste of Country Christmas Show, finished third on American Idol, and Craig Wayne Boyd, won The Voice on team Blake! The perfectly balance three part harmony is rounded out by Adam Wakefield.

Tales From Yellowstone Concert

Kevin Costner and his band took the stage for a fun night of music and stories behind the songs.  There was only one disappointment in the show for me, and that's that the sound wasn't really keyed in. Ardmore was the first stop of the tour, so hopefully the sound guys can get it right on the next stop.  Costner's voice was drowned out by the power of his band and drums, leaving the audience to struggle to hear the words to the songs, and even the descriptions from Costner as he introduced the songs. You already know that I am a lyric girl, and if I can't hear the words, how can I know if I like it? The music from the band was great, and it only made me want to download the music and really listen in my car!

It was actually pretty late in the show when Kevin Costner first even mentioned the show 'Yellowstone'.  He was introducing a song he wrote.  He said it was the way he got into the character of John Dutton, who lost his wife, and just knew that if she were still there, everything would be better.  It was pretty funny, because he described his on screen family as pretty screwed up!

'Yellowstone' premieres on Paramount Television Network, on November 7th!

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
