Lawton Gains New Breakfast Spot For Busier Travelers

Last year, Lawton saw quite a few new businesses, including a few breakfast dining spots like Toast + Jam and the Hatch. So far, most of the new restaurants seem to be thriving and staying busy, even during one of the hardest times of year for business owners.

At the start of 2026, another new breakfast spot decided to open their doors. However, this place is a little different than the full-scale restaurants that were mentioned before. The new cafe on the west side of town wanted to include an option for the busy commuters that don't have time to sit and stay for the most important meal of the day.

We attended the soft opening for Lawton's newest drive-thru cafe, Miss Donuts, on Saturday, January 10. Here's a little insight on what was available, what's going to be available, and what you can expect for their grand opening on Saturday, January 17.

Miss Donuts soft opening welcomes Lawtonians with variety and flavor.

I don't think I've personally seen business owners that were more excited for their first day serving people than I had when I visited Miss Donuts for their soft opening.

They were all so welcoming with huge smiles on their faces and were so quick to get everyone served. For a soft opening, they were already seeing quite a few customers when they opened Saturday morning.

One of my favorite foods I have a hard time finding in Lawton are well-made kolaches. Miss Donuts not only had an incredible variety, ranging from regular, the cheese-less, jalepeno, and others, but they made their own MASSIVE versions wrapped completely in bacon.

Although you can't go wrong with orange juice or chocolate milk with your quick breakfast meal, I was eager to try one of the energizing teas that they had displayed on their front door. However, those are, I believe, advertisements from the previous business owners.

What can Lawton breakfast lovers expect from Miss Donuts?

But I, along with numerous, first time guests were in love with the wide range of donuts, breakfast biscuits, boudins, croissants, and even breakfast burritos that they made themselves. If you took the time to make a google review, they even gave you a bag of sweet-smelling donut holes to go.

There's a beautifully decorated dining area inside for diners who want to come in and sit for a while, but the owners wanted to serve as many breakfast lovers as possible, include the busiest of the bunch.
