There is a new scam happening in parking lots across Lawton... and as the comments above might suggest, there could be a little more information tied to and explaining it... so here it is in a nutshell, as this actually happened to me a few weeks ago.

I'm walking out of Home Depot back in September, loading some garden goods in the bed of my truck when I was approached by a dude claiming to be a paintless dent repair specialist. Being that my truck is a working truck, it has a few dings in it, including the first hit & run I received in Lawton, in the Sheridan and Gore Taco Bell parking lot of all places.

He pulled up, mentioned the dent, and offered to fix it on the spot for cash. Trying to be polite, I tried to chat him up. Asking about his shop, where it's located, the typical questions... all of which he ducked the answers of. He even kept lowering the price of his parking lot services, but any reputable business person wouldn't hit you up for cash.

Eventually, he finally realized I was wasting his time and took off to find a new victim to scam. At the time, he was cruising a black Ram, black aluminum tool box with white and black Texas plates.

Moral of the story... Don't let anyone hit you up for cash, and if they do, ignore 'em.
