Lawton's Best Costumes As Spooktober Comes To A Close

Halloween Day is always sort of a bummer in Lawton. It's the last day of the spooky season before everything skips over Thanksgiving and goes straight to Christmas shenanigans, which is a shame. The kids don't even trick-or-treat on this day most years since we've somehow allowed our elected officials to decide this for us.

I'm convinced it's because they're all suffering from typical grandparent behavior... "I want to see the cute kiddoes on my own time when it's convenient for me...rabble...rabble..."

I'll be honest, I totally forgot trick-or-treating was Saturday night here in Lawton. When my doorbell rang I was expecting my neighbor with motorcycle parts. It was a cute little witch and tiny little Spongebob. I didn't have any candy in the house, so they each got $5 from me. I really hope I don't become "the house that gives cash" in the future.

While some Halloween festivities and parties will happen tonight, today we're all just going through the motions. It's just another day and we no longer have a holiday to look forward to this evening... but that doesn't mean you can't get one last look at the holiday this town has had.
