Who knew policemen could be so funny?

No, seriously, we all were thinking the same thing about this morning's blanket of snow: no way do we want anything to do with that snow stuff. But the Mangum Police Department shared some thoughts that even the out-of-towners got a good laugh from.

As told by the Mangum Police Department's social media, here's what they had to say about the "gift that we didn't ask for."

"Common sense freezes somewhere around 33 degrees."

It's no secret that Oklahomans struggle with driving in any sort of winter weather conditions. We just don't see it here enough, and our vehicles aren't prepped for things like ice and snow. As a hilarious reminder of the things most drivers should already know, the Mangum Police Department stated on their Facebook post that:

"Bridges freeze first. The roads freeze second. And common sense freezes somewhere around 33 degrees." So, if you do have to drive on slick roads, make sure you "slow down, take your time, and please don’t make us practice our 'slip-and-slide recovery techniques' before lunch."

My personal favorite comment: "Bonus Tip: If you see an officer staring at the sky with a look of betrayal, just let them have their moment. It’s been a morning." And they weren't kidding, looking at the number of people sliding off of the roads.

"Winter weather does what it wants, whenever it wants, because this is Oklahoma."

That statement couldn't have been truer.

While some places in northern Oklahoma saw enough snow to build small snowmen, other spots saw hardly any snow at all. In fact, here in Lawton, most of the snow was already gone before 11:30 a.m.

Will we see more snow?

After this weekend, it's difficult to tell. The Climate Prediction Center's 8-14 Day Precipitation Forecast is currently leaning to below average precipitation for the majority of Oklahoma. Some weather analysts, such as Max Schuster, known as Max Velocity on YouTube, expect there will be a series of snowstorms that hit this winter.

But, as they said, this is Oklahoma. And there are no rules.
