The mighty Mastodon took to the Main/Freedom Stage here at Rocklahoma 2021 for an unforgettable performance on the final day of ROK21. Mastodon were a last minute addition to the three day, three stage live music festival after Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals announced they had to cancel due to all the flooding and damage in New Orleans from hurricane Ida. It's beyond EPIC that Mastodon stepped up and agreed to fill in on the main stage. It's also beyond EPIC that festival organizers got them here!

EZ-GO

I was super bummed when I heard the news that Phillip H. Anselmo & The Illegals were having to cancel, but totally understand and hope all's well and everyone's okay in NOLA. I'm sure we'll all get a chance to catch them live once things improve and they can return to touring. I was all set to hear Phil belt out some Pantera tunes live, it's been forever since that's happened. It'll be worth the wait I'm sure.

Mastodon are currently working on a new album. No officially confirmed title or release date yet, but I'm sure it'll be sometime soon. Maybe as soon as late 2021 or early 2022. Looking forward to the new album and seeing them back out on the road. If you missed them here at Rocklahoma 2021 they have a few festival dates including the Inkcarceration Festival on (09-10-21) the Blue Ridge Rock Festival on (09-12-21) the Aftershock Festival on (10-10-21) and the Welcome to Rockville Festival on (11-14-21).

Maybe the new album will come out soon and well get some more U.S. tour dates. Holding out and hoping like hell that includes: OKC, Tulsa or the Metro-Plex. Check out the gallery below of Mastodon live on the Freedom Stage at Rocklahoma 2021.
