Hilarious Program in Oklahoma Neuters A Feral Cat Named After Your Ex

Until Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, Oklahomans who want to get back at their ex can both get their feelings out and simultaneously help the animal overpopulation problem in the state. One of the largest humane societies in Oklahoma is offering a chance to neuter a feral cat named after an ex.

Oklahoma Humane Society Offers "Neuter Your Ex" For Heartbroken Oklahomans

The Oklahoma Humane Society introduced the "Neuter Your Ex" program earlier this month, February 2025, to inspire Valentine's Day haters to donate and "fix" the problem.

For a mere $15 donation, Oklahomans can name one of the feral cats in the Oklahoma Humane Society after their "unsavory ex." Then, after the animal is spayed or neutered, they'll post photos of the cat every Friday with the ex's name on both Facebook and Instagram.

Donations & Name Suggestions For "Neuter Your Ex" Program

The donations and "honorary titles" that Oklahomans suggest are 100 percent anonymous and meant to be lighthearted.

They'll be accepting donations until February 12th but will continue sharing "exes" until Valentine's Day of 2025.

Adorable Plush Toy Program For Kittens Also Happening This February

For those that do want to share the love with animals at the Oklahoma Humane Society, they're also asking for stuffed plush animals to gift to the shelter kittens through the entire month of February.

The fluffier the better, since the stuffed toys will be great for kittens to snuggle up against and get the same feeling of safety and security they may have with their mothers.

Plush toy donations can be dropped off at 7500 N. Western Ave in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Look for the box specifically labeled for toy donations for the kittens.
