I remember my grandmother going every Saturday morning down the neighborhood roads, finding the best hidden treasures for us kiddos at the garage sales around town. It wasn't until many years later that I learned about an even better way to treasure hunt in Oklahoma: estate sales.

When people are moving, or a loved one passes and the family is cleaning up their home, many times they're just trying to get rid of everything as quickly as possible. An estate sale is one of the ways to get rid of it all and not be the only one working to make some money back.

Here are some of the craziest finds that people have found at Oklahoma estate sales.

Signed Photo of the MOL

A reddit user posted a picture of an interesting photo signed by various people around the edges, titled "USAF Manned Orbiting Laboratory," asking if anyone knew its history. One of the comments mentioned that the photo may have been from someone who worked on the Manned Oribiting Laboratory, or MOL.

"The MOL was an Air Force program started in the early 60s that was intended to create a manned reconnaissance platform for real-time orbital spying and assessment. This litho was probably a goodbye gift to someone who worked the program at MD, circa mid 60s."

Some reddit users speculated that it could be much less important, remarking that the signiatures are just of "regular coworkers."

The original poster has not updated the post as of 2022, so unfortunately, we don't know which user has the right idea, but it's still a neat find, nevertheless.

Seemingly Largest Vintage Train Collection

Okay, there are probably collections with more stuff, but not many have nearly as many vintage items as what was sold in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The home of Dr. Oliver became a hotspot for vintage items of all kinds, but definitely vehicles, trains, and anything transportation-related.

The estate sale organizers said that this was there "funnest estate sale yet" because of just how much stuff they had the chance to go through.

Dr. Oliver even collected special christmas items that brought back memories to Facebook users, some saying "Unreal!! Its like a Christmas store from the 60’s!"

Things wrapped up last month for Dr. Oliver's sale, but you can bet your bottom dollar that a ton of people appreciated his passion after the sale.

Coca Cola Paradise in Tulsa, Oklahoma

In an effort to raise money for a child who suffered a spinal injury, a family in Tulsa, Oklahoma held an estate sale to raise as much money as possible for renovations to the home required for the child's care.

One of the largest Coca Cola collections I've ever seen was tucked inside of this home, with what looks like thousands of Coca-Cola bottles, memorabilia, even full-fledged freezers.

The estate sale holders donated a portion of the profits to the family who needed the funds and it looks like a ton of people walked away with pieces of history.

These are some of the craziest we could find, but if you know of something even crazier, send us a picture on the app.
