Oklahoma’s Top 5 Fun & Unique Spring Music Festivals
Festival season has just about arrived in Oklahoma. There are typically so many events each year that we've decided to break it down to the simple spring music festivals that families will be able to enjoy in 2025.
What Makes These Festivals The Top In Oklahoma?
@tumbleweed.ok Calf Fry night one was awesome!! Y’all bring the same energy every single night!! We can’t wait to spend the rest of the weekend partying with Stillwater!! #calffry #calffry2024 #stillwater ♬ Overrated - Giovannie and the Hired Guns
Good music festivals usually are free, family friendly and support local live music. Although some of the festivals listed may not meet all the requirements for being the "best" per se, they make up for it in some form or fashion. Many times, as well, these music festivals draw crowds to smaller, lesser-known communities and give these towns a reason to be on the map for visitors.
For example, many folks (astonishingly) still have no clue about the treasure trove that is Medicine Park. Yet, the town is widely known across the country specifically for their annual events like the Roots Ball.
Any time you attend a music festival in Oklahoma, there are a few things you should check ahead of time. Some items on the list are really dependent on the time of year that you're attending an event.
Things To Consider About Oklahoma's Music Festivals

Before making plans for visiting, make sure you're comfortable with the style of music that they'll be hosting. If you aren't a blues fan, the Roots Ball may not be your favorite choice. Granted, there are usually several stages around the town that will play other artists, but more than likely, it will all be blues-related music.
Secondly, spring time is widely known for tornado weather in Oklahoma. Despite this, Oklahoma's music festivals are usually not canceled unless lightning has been spotted and sometimes thunder (not typically).

Even then, unless the weather is extremely dangerous for artists or the audience, there is usually just a waiting period before kicking things back off. So even if the area is calling for storms, be prepared to enjoy the music under the rain instead of canceling last minute.
Lastly, consider that Oklahoma does allow alcohol at music festivals, even family-friendly events. The music is perfect for everyone to listen to, but just bear in mind that crowds can get crazy and fun at some of the largest events each year. Typically, the crazier crowds make their appearances later in the evenings on the Fridays and Saturdays.
Now that you have an idea of what to expect for music festivals in the spring in Oklahoma this year, these are the best ones to enjoy this year.
