Polite Hackers Ask Your Permission To Take Over Your Facebook

I'm pretty convinced that hackers think we are stupid. Not from a political standpoint, but just in general. I'm not sure if you've ever been messaged by them on your social media, but the language barrier usually encountered through messaging makes it just super easy to waste their time. It's easy because they just don't know how to give up, and I'm pretty sure sarcasm isn't a thing wherever they're from. I only say that because trolling should not be this easy. And it's not even good, solid trolling. It's tenth level Fortnite trolling. Extremely basic, but that doesn't mean it's not fun.

Odds are, these poor souls are doing this as a job somewhere on the other side of the world. Stuck living their life in a call/server center, looking to nab just one account and hold it hostage for a ridiculously low USDollar ransom. This is the world we live in now. Perhaps it's just on "pages" on facebook. I'm sure other local pages get the same message and responses too. I can't imagine how many times a day the Grapevine gets hit up to whore themselves out for cash. I mean, come on, who in their right mind is going to spam their friends for a little money? That just ain't cool.

I will give credit where credit is due. While most usually move along to a new target after the fourth standard plain "yes" reply to whatever question or statement they've sent, there are a few that just won't give up on you. You kind of have to admire that kind of dedication.

If you find yourself at odds with a stranger offering good money for access to any of your accounts, feel free to terminate that discussion immediately. Go to their profile, report it as fake, and facebook will normally have said account removed in a few moments. They stay on top of stuff like that since being exposed to accepting money from Russia in the last election cycle.
