One of Oklahoma's top Christmas towns has been hiding an exciting little secret: a new and unique holiday restaurant is coming to Chickasha! Situated just a short walk away from the world's largest leg lamp, the new place to be will soon be open.

You might recognize the name Ralphie from the iconic movie A Christmas Story. Since Chickasha's main street is adorned with Christmas and holiday themed stores and shops, the new name Ralphie's seemed to fit perfectly.

The soft opening they hosted on Thursday, December 12, gave some of us a taste of what to expect and let me just say: Chickasha is in for a treat! This new restaurant also has an arcade and puts a twist on classic Oklahoma foods.

Classy, Cozy Feel Meets a Kids Paradise at Ralphie's Restaurant.

Most of Oklahoma's restaurants serve just about the same thing: steak, pastas, and other homestyle favorites. While Ralphie's kept a lot of the classics, they added their own incredible twist that surprised a lot of us.

The perfectly grilled glazed chicken cutlets that I tried smelled just as delicious as they tasted. I didn't have to cut so hard, I feared cutting the plate, or worry about a chewy chicken - the flavor and fixings were perfect. I actually licked my plate clean.

But we still have yet to try the interesting combinations they've created, like the bacon wrapped blue cheese meatloaf. The side dishes are just as delectable as the entrees, with macaroni and cheese, balsamic brown sugar carrots, spiced fries and plenty more.

If you somehow manage to have enough room for dessert, they'll top off the experience with your choice of blueberry cheesecake, strawberry chocolate mousse, or classic favorites chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies.

Grand Opening for Ralphie's Restaurant in Chickasha is Monday, December 15.

The new place is completely family friendly and welcomes children of all ages. The owners, Darold and Cheri Jenks, envisioned Ralphie's to be a perfect escape for parents (which we all know they need around this time of year).

Each kids meal comes with tokens that children can use in the arcade in the back of the restaurant, which features old school arcade games, hover hockey, skeeball, and more. Parents can buy more tokens and adults can purchase tokens, as well.
