One of the most popular food trucks in Oklahoma serving authentic Native American food has officially started their very own drive-thru establishment in southwest Oklahoma. The owners of Redbone Indian Tacos have been diligently working on opening their brick and mortar to start sharing their food "from wheels to windows."

New brick and mortar location almost ready for Redbone Indian Tacos.

Owner of Redbone Indian Tacos, Kelly Young, has been traveling across the parts of the state, setting up shop and serving authentic Native American food for different events, festivals and folks all around central and southwest Oklahoma for the last six years. Now, she's willing to serve the Lawton community at the old Carnival of Ice building.

The new location is expected to be open and ready for customers on April 1st (no joke). Young has been posting frequent updates on their progress on the Facebook page and as the day approaches, the closer they come to being completely finished with prep work.

Changes and updates that Redbone Indian Tacos' new location will include.

Avid Redbone Indian Tacos lovers will be able to enjoy several of the food truck favorites such as the "Indian Blanket" and "Thunderbird Basket," but there will also be new items will be added to their new location's menu.

Those who may not live near Lawton will still be able to enjoy Redbone Indian Tacos on the weekends, as Young explained that she still plans on keeping the truck on the move on the weekends. "I will keep working my food trailer for weekend events & catering jobs and will work the brick and mortar Monday through Friday," she told us.

While some Oklahoma original restaurants are obvious and common knowledge, there are a few that will likely surprise you having a start in the Sooner State. At least, they were shockers to me. Whether you want burgers, BBQ, pizza, breakfast, or Tex-Mex, the tastes of Oklahoma stretch far beyond our border.
