As everyone gets ready for a new school year, The Cement School District in Caddo County prepares with a new school week as well.

"Cement Schools in Caddo County are going to four days a week," Cement Superintendent Danny Pittman said.

The superintendent changed the schedule to respond to the district's teacher shortage as well as hopefully improve test scores as other districts that have switched to the four day schedule have seen.

Ten minutes have added to each school day as well as an extra week to meet the state's required hours.

Cement is scheduled to begin classes on Aug 12 and school day's will last from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
