Lawton’s Newest Brewery Finally Open To The Public

It's confirmed! The newest brewery in Lawton, Oklahoma has finally opened their doors to the public today, April 17, 2025. After what seems like forever, they've finally wrapped up construction and are ready to serve the Lawton/Fort Sill community some delicious food, beer and specialty items from other local businesses.

Until 10:00 p.m. today, Southwest Oklahoma Brewing (SOB) will be open and serving some of their newest menu items, such as Irish Nachos, Wisconsin Cheese Curds and Alvin's Whole Fried Okra. They'll also have meat plates, salads and kids menus for the youngins'.

Visitors will be able to take a closer look at all of the hard work that the brewing company has been working on since December of 2023. Despite the fact that the brewery was expected to be open a year previously, the time taken on the building has paid off.

Don't think that the brewery is just for beer drinkers! They've also decided to partner with a local winery (one of my personal favorites), Shakespeare Wine Company from Chickasha, Oklahoma and offer their wine there in the brewery.

If visitors can't make it for the opening day, there are plenty of opportunities to try it out for themselves. SOB Brewing will be open Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays.The hours are:

• Tuesdays - 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Wednesdays - 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Thursdays - 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Fridays - 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Saturdays - 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Sundays - 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
