One Of Oklahoma's Largest Music Festivals Gone After Global Pandemic

Unfortunately, after the global pandemic, certain events never came back quite the same. In the summer of 2019, one of Oklahoma's largest music festivals unknowingly hosted their last event that year in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

The famous Medicine Stone Music Festival, hosted each year at the Diamondhead Resort, hired the largest names in Red Dirt music at the time to play while listeners had the chance to enjoy the music from their camping spots, on the patios of various spaces on the campgrounds and even floating on tubes on the Illinois River.

Despite the fact that Medicine Stone never returned after 2019, the owners of the resort wanted to bring something back for the live music lovers. So the owners created the Diamond Stone Music Festival, which happens to be on the list of the top music festivals in Oklahoma during the summer.

When I was considering the top music festivals for the summer, I wasn't just thinking of the big names that the festival might be bringing to their stage. Instead, I considered factors that folks at the Diamondhead Resort considered. Things such as:

• Atmosphere for listeners to truly enjoy the music, not just party hard
