Texas Toddler Placed in Oven by Siblings and Burned to Death
Texas Child Protective Services report that a 19-month-old toddler was burned to death after being placed in the oven by one of her 3-year-old siblings.
Court records state that 19-month-old J'zyra Thompson was one of four children left home alone by their mother and her boyfriend on Monday at their Houston apartment. J'zrya's two three-year-old siblings told CPS officials that one of them put the baby in the oven and the other turned the oven on. The two siblings also told CPS that the baby was kicking the oven door while inside.
The children have been removed from their mother's custody and placed in foster care. Court records indicate that charges are expected to be filed.
