”The Flintstones” Return

Don't be surprised if Fred Flintstone starts to have a "Family Guy" vibe. Or he might talk real fast like the "Gilmore Girls."

Or, when new episodes of "The Flintstones" start in a couple of years, Fred, Wilma, Barney, Betty and their kids might be exactly as they were when the series first was on TV in the 1960s.

The brains behind "Family Guy," Seth MacFarlane, is joining with a former producer of "Gilmore Girls" to create new episodes of "The Flintstones" that'll debut on Fox in 2013.

MacFarlane says he thinks "America is finally ready for an animated sitcom about a fat, stupid guy with a wife who's too good for him."

Ah the good cartoons...Where have they all gone?  Here is a short trip back to Bedrock.
