The Oklahoma City Thunder and the L.A. Lakers will kick off their round two match up in the NBA Playoffs  night at 8:30 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. When the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers get together tonight in OKC, it will be the first time in eight days that the Thunder have played since sweeping the  Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs way back on May 5.

That lengthy layoff could translate to the Thunder being either rested or rusty. But the one thing we do know is the Lakers should be a little tired after being taken 7 games against the Denver Nuggets.

There will be three side notes in this series. This will be the first meeting between the Thunder and Lakers since Metta World Peace threw a vicious elbow into the side of James Harden's head back on April 22nd in LA, will there be retaliation or will the Thunder just let their game do the talking?

And how will Derek Fisher play against the Lakers? - A team that he spent 13 years playing for, and was won 5 NBA titles. Fisher's guidance and experience in the playoffs could be the key to this young Thunder team taking the next step to the NBA Finals.

And finally scheduling for this series could be interesting because the Staples Center could be a very busy building there is a possibility that all three of it's tenants could be needing to use the building, with the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers , as well as the NHL’s Kings all in the playoffs and all needing to schedule home games at the arena.

Here is the SHOCKING VIDEO of the elbow that took James Harden out
