As a military community, the hearts of Lawtonians are always with those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. One way to help remember and honor those who gave their lives for this country is by participating in Wreaths Across America.

The purpose of Wreaths Across America is to remember our fallen U.S. veterans; honor those who serve; and teach your children the value of freedom. Its website invites everyone to join them in this purpose on National Wreaths Across America Day:

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

This year's National Wreaths Across America Day will take place Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Lawtonians have two opportunities to sponsor wreaths locally. Deadline is November 26, 2022

There are a couple different of wreath sponsorship options. You can also do a custom number of wreaths.

  • One Wreath - $15
  • Two Wreaths - $30
