Townsquare Pet Patrol
From shelters to foster and adoption groups, there are many different options when you are looking to add a new four-legged member to your family. Every week Townsquare's Pet Patrol, brought to you by Midtown Animal Hospital highlights adoptable pets from across the Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas areas, hoping to find furr-ever homes for shelter pets from throughout the region.
This week we are highlighting animals from 12 shelters, and hope to add more as momentum builds for this project. We will also be featuring information on upcoming events at our local shelters, as well as bringing you information on upcoming fund raising activities for these organization.
The Pet Patrol is brought to you by Midtown Animal Hospital. We would also like to thank Just 4 K9s and Kitties 2, your home for grooming supplies, as well as all of your pets' needs, from food to beds to toys. Please remember to spay and neuter, and of course to adopt, not shop!
It was a good week for the Carnegie Animal Shelter as three of their resident found furr-ever homes, including long-time guest Pinky, who we have featured the last few weeks. Also going home was ChiChi the Chihuahua, who had been abondoned by his previous owner and found a new fur-ever home and Harley who went back to her owners who had been searching for her ever since leaving her in the care of a friend and having her disappear.
And another success story from this past weekend...Sassy, the beautiful white cat with one blue and one green eye from Chickasha has found her puuuur-ever home. Sassy, along with 4 dogs and two other cats were adopted last weekend at Friends Fur Change's PetSense Adoption Fair.

This is Stewie, an 8 month old male pitbull. This guy has been through hell and still happy as can be. Someone had bound his muzzle, causeing it to swell. It took a while but he has lost the hair where it was tied. Then after the swelling went down, he had parvo. 2 weeks later he is doing great. He is active and playful, and is the sweetest friendliest dog you could meet. He has had 2 sets of shots, scheduled to be neutered, and is micro-chipped.
