Townsquare Pet Patrol
From shelters to foster and adoption groups, there are many different options when you are looking to add a new four-legged member to your family. Every week Townsquare's Pet Patrol, brought to you by Midtown Animal Hospital, highlights adoptable pets from across the Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas areas, hoping to find furr-ever homes for shelter pets from throughout the region.
This week we are highlighting animals from 12 shelters, and hope to add more as momentum builds for this project. We will also be featuring information on upcoming events at our local shelters, as well as bringing you information on upcoming fund raising activities for these organization.
The Pet Patrol is brought to you by Midtown Animal Hospital. We would also like to thank Just 4 K9s and Kitty 2, your home for grooming supplies, as well as all of your pets' needs, from food to beds to toys. Please remember to spay and neuter, and of course to adopt, not shop!

Avionna is so pretty! She is a young, high energy dog. She likes people & dogs but doesn't seem to consistently recognize when other dogs don't want to play or are done playing. She is house & kennel trained. She does alright on a leash after the initial excitement. Would do best in an active home. Wouldn't recommend her for a home with very small kids or elderly people.
Avionna comes with up to date, age appropriate vaccines, she is heart worm negative, spayed and on monthly heart worm preventative as well as monthly flea and tick preventative. She is micro-chipped and comes with 30 days of free veterinary insurance. If you are interested in Avionna, Please contact Rainbow Bridge Can Wait at 580-654-2513 or on our Facebook page.

Trinket was found in a small town by a nice lady who tried to find her owner. She spent days searching without any success. She didn’t have room for her in her home and she didn’t want to take her to a local animal control. So she reached out for a rescue that could find her a new home. So we took her into our rescue program. She is very loving and enjoys human companionship and she does well with new canine friends. We think she is a Chihuahua that is at least 7-8 years old.
Trinket has been spayed and is current on all her vaccinations. She appears to be house trained. She tested negative for heart worms and 3 tick born diseases. Trinket would be a great companion dog.
For more information about adopting Trinket, e-mail swoan@swbell.net.

Wyatt needs a friend. He is very friendly and super sweet but also shy and needs someone to love. Wyatt is around three and a half years old and is a terrier. He was brought in with his brother Virgil who was adopted. Wyatt gets along with other dogs and really well with people. He is the classic dog who is over looked at shelters because he is not as outgoing as others.
While everyone is barking and jumping around to get attention Wyatt sits at the kennel door with his head bowed quietly waiting for his turn. If you are looking for a calm dog who would lay next to you wanting to be petted and loved while he loves you in return, Wyatt is the dog for you. Come give him a chance. He may be just waiting to come out of his shell with a huge personality just for you. (He is a bit rounder now than in the photo but you can't judge a boy by his weight.
If you think Wyatt is right for you, come check him out at the shelter. We are located at 2801 Sullivan St in Vernon Tx. You can reach us by phone at 940-552-5373 or by email at whs76384@gmail.com. To put an application on any of our animals please visit www.wilbargerhumanesocietyvernontx.org
