Tuesday, November 8th is a little more than a month away, and while the candidates and ballot proposition supporters and opponents put the finishing touches on theirs campaigns, the deadline to register to vote in the election is drawing near. Friday, October 14th is the final day to register to vote in the November election.

Those looking to register can pick-up Registration Applications at the Comanche County Election Board, Dept of Human Services, any local state tag agency, or at the nearest United States post office. Applications can also be found online at http://elections.ok.gov. Simply print and mail the completed registration application to the Comanche County Election Board by Oct. 14.

Those looking to vote absentee are advised by the election board that can be done without giving a reason. Absentee voting will take place at the Comanche County Courthouse on Thursday and Friday November 3rd and 4th from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday, November 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. An absentee ballot can also be submitted by mail, the application to do so can be is also on-line. Completed applications can be submitted via email at comancheceb16@comanchecounty.us.

The website can also be used to confirm your voter registration or find your local polling location. Questions, problems or concerns can be presented to the Comanche Country Election Board by phone by calling (580) 353-1880.
