‘Westworld’ Season 2, Episode 3 Photos Tease a Major Reunion, But It May Signal a Huge Betrayal
Westworld Season 2's third episode is inching closer, and from the looks of it, it could signal a major shake-up.
Photos for "Virtù e Fortuna," airing on Sunday (May 6), tease a reunion between Dolores and Bernard — two longtime allies who, thus far, have had little to no interaction. Bernard, via Ford and Arnold's programming, was key in helping Dolores reach true consciousness in Season 1, but the two have yet to come face-to face this season: A visibly disoriented Bernard has been walking park employees through the details of the hosts' rebellion, while Dolores has been gallivanting across the desert and leaving carnage in her wake.
Here, though, she can be seen cradling Bernard's face while wearing a bandoleer of bullets — suggesting this encounter doesn't take place in the past, but in the present, post-robot takeover. In another image, a fearful Bernard looks up from the ground at someone holding a gun in a white dress, which very well could be Dolores. Does this mean she turns on him, or is possible they're in cahoots? At this point, it could go either way: Dolores has made clear she's out for blood.
Elsewhere, Maeve seems to be making progress in her journey with Hector and Lee. In another image, she's shown staring up into the sky as snow falls down on her — quite the anomaly for the prairie climate of Westworld. Could she have finally reached a new sector of the park? Judge for yourself below.
Westworld Season 2, Episode 3 airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
