Youth Soccer Registration is Now Open in Lawton
Just about any Fall Saturday Morning, you'll find hundreds, if not thousands of kids, all in one location. The Big Green Soccer Field.
Soccer is alive and well in Lawton Oklahoma for sure. If you are a lucky Soccer Mom like I was, you know the joy of wet soccer feet, smelly shin guards, and freezing early games. You'll also know the immense pleasure of watching your child learn valuable life lessons by playing a sport.
I was blessed to have both of my children participate in all levels of soccer. My youngest, Tyler started at 4, before Lawton even had 4 year old teams. We just put him on the youngest team around. He played his entire school life and ended as an all state goal keeper for this high school team. He earned a scholarship for soccer and played one year in college. As you might imagine, I'm a fan. Now, I have grandchildren who play and they may not be quite as competitive as we'd like yet, they have fun, and that's really such a huge part of what soccer is all about.
